So WordPress recommends that I write something about me, so here we go.

I started researching my family tree over 25 years ago when my father suddenly passed away. Maybe it was a way of dealing with my grief, all I knew was that at the age of 23 I was the official eldest living relative on my fathers side and I needed to know where I came from and who the rest of my unknown family was.

So the journey began.

I am a wife, a mum, a daughter and a sister. I work full time so when time allows I research my family history.

I have met cousins that Ancestry DNA connected me with – without doing my Ancestry DNA I would have never have known of their actual existence – yep it was all through my 4th Great Grandfather having an illegitimate child.

I love sports of all kinds, actually let me rephrase that I love sports excluding cricket – I would prefer to watch paint dry.

I love watching Marvel movies with my teenage kids.
